Forty Seven IGs Write Congress Over Limits on Access to Information

Written by

Inpector Generals from the Peace Corps, Department of Justice and the Environmental Protection Agency say their agency has placed restrictions on their access to certain records.  As a result, 47 Federal IG's have written to Congress expressing their concerns stating that these restrictions "... represent potentially serious challenges to the authority of every Inspector General and our ability to conduct our work thoroughly, independently and in a timely manner."

A copy of the letter is here.
